Happy Birthday: Madonna turns 48

Although her birthday is not until next week, I thought I just say it now instead of later: Happy Birthday to "Queen" Madonna as she celebrates 48-years on the planet Earth. Yes, our Queen of Pop celebrates with pride as when she first said, "I will not be happy until I am as famous as God." Well, true to that statement until now, Madonna has become more famous just like God, and who knows God and Madonna two famous figures?

Born in Bay City, Michigan Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone began to want attention after the loss of her mother (also named Madonna) at the age of five. Her father Tony Ciccone was left to raise eight children but Madonna was determined to stand out. IF you all know the story you know that she came to New York with what was only $35 in her pocket and ambition and her father was not happy about it...but she became famous in 1983 and the rest you know is history.

Look at her now. She has come a long way baby...and I hope that the next 23 years Madonna will continue to amaze. Like Seymour Stein (Madonna's former Sire Records president) said, "They say that someone like Madonna comes once in a lifetime," he concluded, "but that's not true people like Madonna come once in life."
