Hello out there!
It's been centuries. I, however, have decided that this blog and my other blog will continue to write. In doing so, there will be a difference. I'm sending this blog in another direction. It's time to put the headsets down for more reviews for my eyes. Yes, ladies and gentleman. Please head over to Airwave Blog 2 for the first of the books that I have been interesting in reading; and that includes some that are out of prints and those that are from the dinosaur era. I don't care if you like them love them (HELLO JOHN GRISHAM), you have forgetten them. But these are books that I find interesting.

I was told as a young adult that I should read more. I am. Now, I want to share what I read. Ready?

Hello everyone!

It's 2010! Amazing. Here is a recap of what I have been up to since I saw (or is that wrote?) you last: I have been laying low for some time and I was actually sad during Christmas Day. I was. It was because of my dog no longer being here. And, I am still looking for more Madonna shirts (when am I not?). And if you are keeping score out there, whoever you are, it's 41 and counting...I do mean counting.

In addition, I have been at the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific too, so if you are nearby or plan to visit California come Saturdays and occasionally Sundays. I will be there. Besides, I am the main attraction. As I said before the break, I begin the spring semester on Feb. 8 at Los Angeles City College so I have some time between now and then to visit Hollywood, visit the stars of the Walk of Fame. In other words, my other life.

I hope that everything with you guys and bloggers and those of you who have left comments are well and your New Year's was amazing. And there is other news too. If you don't know my birthday is in April, April 27 to be exact and there will be things that I will be doing for my big 3-0. The first thing will be I will actually go to a bar...maybe in Hollywood. I want to experience that. I want to be out there to see an environment I have never been in. And I want to get drunk.

Can you believe that I'm actually thinking of something else? I am. I just can't tell you about that yet. I will have to show you in pictures. And no I'm not getting married. It's better than getting married, but I will only say I will be getting something...so get your head out of the gutter.

A Corina CD found after 17 years of looking

I found a CD that I have been looking for 17 years. It's the 1991 self-titled debut album of Corina Katt Ayala. Better known as Corina, this was an artist that I was a fan of when the album and three songs were extremely popular. The music that she was known to do was called, "Freestyle Music" and yes, I even was into it. Having known about her through the radio station KIIS-FM back when former radio host Rick Dees was on the air. But the smash hit, "Temptation" was No. 1 on the radio. But trust me, it's an album that I purchased on cassette tape.

The three singles that were released where "Temptation," "Now That You're Now," and "Whispers." Now that I have the album, that I found at Hollywood's Amoeba Music Store I am overjoyed to have found it. I wanted to say something to the artist herself, if I may. In hearing the album in its entirely, I can't believe that I still remember the lyrics. The album that I purchased on cassette tape I had it for a while before I unfortunately ruin it. I kept looking for the next 17 years.

In know that Corina Katt Ayala has written more music but I would hope that she would return to the recording studio for a new album. I mean it's been 18 years since this album was released. Why not give fans like me and anyone else who remembers to do what you love. Create and make music. I have seen "Cradle Will Rock" but I know that in hearing this debut album music is key to life. So, if Grace Jones can return for a performance thne Corina should and hopefully will think of returning.

Madonna's in the mood for a 'Celebration'

Sorry for this late review of Madonna's Celebration album that was released on Tuesday, but I wanted to hear the album in its entirely before I did. Anyway, there is something to be said for the Queen of Pop's last studio album for Warner Bros. Records. There is something to be celebrated. A growing list of hits, and others that I wish were on it.

First, let me get to the songs that were included. Now why in the world would you edit the song, "Sorry?" AND I love the fact that you included "Justify My Love" because who else could read along the lyrics of that song. But over all I love this album that Madonna put out because she is the only other artist (besides the late King of Pop Michael Jackson) to ever have songs that mean a lot to fans and those fans that have made her famous.

Case in point, could you really see anyone else sing, "Like A Prayer" or "Cherish" or "Papa Don't Preach." Could you ever see anyone do a song that was tantalizing like, "Justify My Love" or "Erotica." AND who else could make line dancing hip when it was in the foreshadow in the song, "Don't Tell Me." Okay I won't. But there are songs that I wished that were included such as:

• "What It Feels like For a Girl"-I know the video for this was violent, (whatelse is new) but the song itself is appealing because of the line from the film, "The Cement Garden...

• "Angel"-Cute Madonna and even cutier lyrics...Madonna is so childlike.

• "This Used to be My Playground"-It was bad enough that it was NOT included in the soundtrack to "A League of Their Own" but you have to admit with any ballad Madonna turns it into her own.

To finish, Madonna will continue to be Madonna and we love her that way. Long live the Queen of Pop.

Madonna feels it's time for a 'Celebration'

For the last 27 years Madonna has proven herself as the Queen of Pop. And with the just leaked version of the upcoming single, "Celebration" that title is not going anyone. Yes, I just happen to listen to the version that will be released from the Greatest Hits and closing Warner Bros. Records album, Celebration and the title track is nothing short of brilliant.

Produced by the most famous and well known DJ Paul Oakenfold this title will make you dance from the beginning to end. Madonna, the ever evolving star is the woman who approaches someone she thinks she knows but doesn't because he has his clothes on, "Wanna dance/Yeah...What are you waiting for?"

But truth be told, Madonna has always had that instinct of what works and what does. The brilliance of Oakenfold. The DJ who has done numerous remixes for the 50-year-old star take her and keeps her in front of every other wanna singer who wants to be her. That is the appeal of Madonna, wanting to stay ahead and with this track that only proves her worth.

But I did have this question could and should Madonna work with Paul Oakenfold on her next album? I mean she worked with William Orbit, so why not?

Eminem goes into 'Relapse' on album

After a five-year hiatus, rap's most hated or (loved) star has returned. It's Eminem. Yes, that foul-mouth, wife beater, chemical dependent, newly clean of drugs has returned with an emphasize on the struggles to stay clean.

One thing about Eminem is that he never is afraid to mince words about anything, including his ex-wife Kim; to whom he has said everything and wanted to do "anything" to her. So, it is no surprise, and well, it shouldn't be that Eminem (born Marshall Mathers) takes on the subject of chemical dependency on the just released album Relapse (Shady/Aftermath Records).

His back to tell his struggles with the drugs that effected his brain (Crack the Bottle) to getting down right sentimental (Beautiful). If you have listen to him, Eminem has become the master of his own demise through those rhymes and he is able to expand and come up with the most interesting point of view's of his life.

But in all that the 36-year-old, Grammy and Oscar winner has done is put this album out as his own way of therapy. And since his debut album in 1999, this makes no difference. With the help of his mentor Dr. Dre, who produced all but one song, there is nothing that can make anyone any better than Emiem. He just has to stop wearing that protective mask. But then again, who said he'll listen?

Lady Gaga shows her 'Poker Face' in song

Lady Gaga is a 23-year-old singer, who faced rejection but with her latest single, "Poker Face from the album Fame, she does okay. BUT in all honesty, the song, "Lets Dance" was not that hit.

It was trying to hard to appealing to Madonna. "Poker Face" does somewhat of a better job. But I still couldn't get over what she wore on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. Nice boobs? Too small, yes. The orbit head gear. Too much but the performance was different.

Rating: 3½ out of 5

Franz Fredinand's 'Tonight' album

The third album from Glasgow-based modern rockers. Tonight: Franz Ferdinand sees them taking a step back from the Post-Punk revival sounds that gave them their breakthrough.

With Tonight: Franz Ferdinand, the band are seen to incorporate more disparate influences such as Jamaican Dub and elements of electronica. What remains of the old Franz Ferdinand is its knack for locating a danceable rhythm and its gentle, deadpan humour. So glad that they have returned. I was beginning to wonder what happen. So much fame? Fans? What did I say?

The choice of Dan Carey as producer is in keeping with this new direction, the past credits of whose include CSS and Hot Chip. But Franz Fredinand has more, they know a good hook to its music they have since they came to the U.S. and fans like me love them for it. I know that they will never be like the Beatles, but I love them away.

Greetings everyone! Long time no speak. First: Let me say that it's great to be back with you in 2009, so how is it so far? I know that we are only a few days in but, I'm so excited. There is much to discuss, write, and bitch about that I don't know where to begin.

Well, as many of you know, there is a change of me going to Los Angeles City College and the spring semester starts Feb. 9, so I am very excited, new people, new blood and hopefully good results. But before I begin, I will say that I am back for another round of student rush at Cerritos College.

I am glad to do what I can, and hopefully make people laugh along the way. Its semester starts Jan. 12 and that will be hear before you know it. So, until the semester start at LACC, I will tell you what happens at the Cerritos bookstore until the first week of February. But until that time may you be reading, commenting, or laughing at what I write...or just press "next"...

Spears' 'Circus' jams

Recent Rolling Stone magazine cover girl Britney Spears has returned with her sixth studio album and song after song on the latest Circus (Jive Records) and while I admire the jam songs on this album because of the sound, the song that I can't stand is the first track, "Womanizer."

The song makes Spears look like she is the one who likes to have more men then the average Joe.

Spears has lacked the direction of her image. She went from the girl next doors to sex slave to out-of-control megastar. IF you follow any of Spears recently episodes you know that she lack vocal range on all her albums. In addition, she is trying to be someone she wishes to be.

Dido has a 'Safe Trip (Back) Home'

Dido Armstrong has returned with her third album Safe Trip Home (Arista Records) and I am glad to have her back after listening to the soothing sound of that other Dido-like vocalist, singer/songerwriter Jem. Dido who has taken up guitar lessons is returning to a place where she is comfortable and so am I.

Her previous two albums were multiplatium and I will not be surprised of this is too. Dido makes the most of trying to have fans view her in a different light and spotlight her in a way that is, cool, crisp and on a journey.

She had inadvertently set the tone for Safe Trip Home, a record whose smouldering, soulful songs were to eventually feature her playing guitar, piano, bells and the trusty old recorder she'd toured Europe with as a prodigious pupil of London's Guildhall School of Music. She's even responsible for some of the album's drums (most notably on the sumptuously melancholy Quiet Times).

It works.

Four years after the release of its landmark debut in 2004, MTV VMA Award-winning, Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum Island Records group The Killers have completed its fourth album - and first new studio album in two years - DAY & AGE, featuring the new single, "Human" which debuted worldwide on Sept. 22, while the digital single was released Sept. 30. The new album hits stores Nov. 25 - two days before Thanksgiving.

DAY & AGE was produced by Stuart Price, a key figure in electronic music (Les Rhythmes Digitales, and a producer to Madonna's 2005 album Confessions on a Dancefloor) who previously worked with The Killers on "Don't Shoot Me Santa," its 2007 Christmas single; as well as music on its 2007 compilation, Sawdust. Over the past five years, Price has worked as a producer, mixer, programmer, and keyboardist, including The Killers' "Mr Brightside" remix which was Grammy nominated.

DAY & AGE comes one year after the release of Sawdust (November 2007), a 17-song collection of previously unreleased session tracks, B-sides, rarities and one-offs. The album was assembled at a recording studio in New York's Hell's Kitchen, where the Killers worked with Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer Lou Reed two recordings. Two singles and videos were issued: "Shadowplay" (from the motion picture soundtrack of Control, Anton Corbijn's biopic of Ian Curtis), and "Tranquilize".

The Killers' RIAA platinum second album Sam's Town (October 2006) debuted at #2 and spun off two hit singles: the #1 Modern Rock "When You Were Young," nominated for Grammy Awards for Best Rock Song and Best Short Form Music Video; and "Read My Mind," the band's first #1 at Triple-A.

Its worldwide 5-million-selling debut Hot Fuss (June 2004) was the longest-running rock album inside the top 50 on the Billboard 200 albums chart for all of 2005, logging 94 weeks on the chart - 53 of those inside the Top 50.

The album spun off four solid hit singles - the Grammy-nominated anthem, "Somebody Told Me," the VMA-winning (and Grammy-nominated) "Mr. Brightside," the Modern rock hit "Smile Like You Mean It," and the Grammy-nominated "All These Things That I've Done."

Metallica's 'Magnetic' album

Rock god group Metallica has returned with an album that I think is terrific. They have never sounded better. I know, I know, it's late but I think that the album (or in this case, the limited edition version) is great.

The band's first album after its five years, Death Magnetic (Warner Bros. Records) is also its first with renowned producer Rick Rubin (Danzig, Slayer, System Of A Down, Slipknot), first with bassist Robert Trujillo, and first on Warner Bros.

Heavy and thrashy, unafraid to embrace the band's past yet move into the future.

Jem's 'Down to Earth' album

She made a splash with her 2004 debut Finally Woken. Four years later she has returned with her sophomore album Down to Earth (ATO Records) and if you thought that there is a jinx Welsh singer Jemma Griffiths will not disappoint with this latest offering. I decided to give this album a listen yesterday and all night last night and being that this is a review for the album I have decided to give this as an opportunity to be an open letter to her.

I love that within the liner notes that you have appreciated the opportunity to enjoy music. Despite the fact that she was given exposure by the radio KCRW in Los Angeles and by my idol Madonna, Jem is truly becoming that artist that everyone should hear. So what is all this leading to you ask? Well, it means that the songwriting her on this current album is truly amazing. Not only is Jem showing that she can connected with people and bringing them together but she is also showing her interest in singing in Spanish ("I Want You To...") and Japanese ("Aciiid").

The track, "Amazing" is a standout thanks in large part to it being featured on the soundtrack to the "Sex In the City" movie but for me personally and for those who loss a person sudden the track that is truly great is "You Will Make It" featuring Vusi Mahlasela. Surrounded is Jem's lush vocals (I'm not hitting on her) it is the piano performed by Jeff Almajian and string arrangement of the Sonus String Quartet that makes this track special. When I caught myself and said that I needed to listen to this track again without interruption I was brought to tears.

Jem Griffiths, if you are out there somewhere and if and when you promote this album PLEASE perform, "You Will Make It!"

The songs are great on this album.

Fleetwood Mac's Buckingham solo album

Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham will release his fifth solo album "Gift of Screws" (Warner Bros. Records) on September 15. The album is his first since 2006's acoustically focused "Under The Skin."

Primarily recorded and self-produced at his home studio and on the road during the "Under The Skin" tour, the album also features two songs co-produced by Rob Cavallo (Green Day, My Chemical Romance).

Mixing the immediacy of the best of his contributions to Fleetwood Mac with experimental production flourishes, highlights of the set include "Bel Air Rain," "Time Precious Time," "Underground," "Love Runs Deeper" and "Treason."

New Kids on the Block's 'The Block'

Original boy band New Kids on the Block are back and with the result of The Block, NKOTB has never sounded better. The Boston-born group who were the launching pad for other upcoming bands like the Backstreet Boy, N'Sync, and 98 Degrees have had fans out there waiting for too long.

With wanting to sound as if they haven't been away for 14 years NKOTB has potential to continue and with its upcoming tour women and girls will be screaming.

The Game latest: LAX

For what it's worth the Game has got some game. This album LAX is a combining of him wanting to sound the best and wanting to be the best. Aren't we all? Did he succeed? Maybe but he still needs to have a focus. That to me, at least is important. It's not all bad...just focus.

Miley Cyrus tries to 'Breakout' on her own

She has ditched the blonde wig, and on her second self titled studio album, Breakout (Hollywood Records), Miley Cyrus takes us on a Rock'N'Roll journey. The music is infectious and the hits are undeniable! "7 Things" is Miley’s hit single.

It is a follow up to her Top Five radio smash hit "See You Again" to whom all of the girls were singing on ABC's Good Morning America this past week. With three albums released by the age of 15, Miley has already had the level of success that most artists only dream about with more than 10 million albums sold.

Although I'm still not that convinced that Cryus can leave Montana behind. I know that she has the talent (being that her father is Billy Ray Cyrus). But look at the stars of today, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Blue, Hilary Duff. But not that the songs on the album are bad. I just thinking that there will be backlash of she doesn't look to expand her talents to other roles.

Cyrus' first recording Hannah Montana original soundtrack debuted No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and is certified 3x Platinum. Miley’s second release Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus Debuted No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 and it is certified 6x Platinum.

There is a level of success of Cyrus, just God forbid that she turns into Britney Spears, and if Cyrus is looking to be the next Madonna, then I guess a coffee table book is in her future, no?

Zimmer & Howard drive 'The Dark Knight'

Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard bring the saga and continued story of DC Comic hero Batman and his rival the Joker.

The Dark Knight played by actor Christian Bale and the Joker played by the late actor Heath Ledger (in his final film) bring seriousness to their roles.

This of course is the song that sets up the Joker and his way of teasing the Batman. Throughout the album the songs are the good vs. evil segments of the movies. As we all know the role of the Joker was orginated for the movies by Jack Nicholson and orginated for the small screen by actor Cesar Julio Romero, Jr.

Throughout this album Zimmer and Howard are able to capture the Joker as a man on a mission to find out who the Batman is and how to destroy Gotham City. There is a sense of the audience member being able to feel as if they are there in the movie and in its music. The orchestration for the film soundtrack are arranged in a way that in deep and serious, yet, there is a anticipation for more.

In what turned out to be Heath Ledger's latest film, "The Dark Knight" features the late actor in the pivotal role as the Joker. The early reviews are that Ledger could possibly be nominated for an Oscar. The soundtrack is led by Oscar winner Has Zimmer.

So if Ledger is nominated it is a fitting tribute to the late actor and his talents. Look for the release on July 15 and a review here.

Hudgens seeks to be 'Identified' on album

After the platium-selling album V "High School Musical" star Vanessa Hudgens has released Identified (Hollywood Records). With the growing success of the Disney franchinse I have asked myself the same question about her as I did Miley Cyrus.

Can Vanessa Hudgens peel away the layers of that well-known character of hers? Or is she releasing this album because, why not, everyone else is.

If there is only one track that I actually like, I would be "Last Night" catchy, yet not boring in its production:

It's everyone trying to cash in on the fame. Everyone from American Idol, to Nashville Star, to America's Got Talent. But for Hudgens to try. I think that she has come up short. Now, let me explain before I get hate mail, or comments about this. Hudgens just doesn't have the strength of her voices.

And to be honest, she needs to have voices lessons to improves. But I do give her credit for trying to not have sophomore jinx. Ashley Tisdale, I think is just in the same area has Hudgens, and surprisingly, I like her album but for what it's worth, and I say this the Disney franchise is what people know Hudgens for.

Okay, no not just "High School Musical," I liked her in the film, "Thirteen", but you can't denied that celebrities who were known for one solid role, can shake it off for another. Well, one hit is better than none.

Miley Cyrus' "The Best of Both Worlds" CD/DVD was not only in theatres but there is the soundtrack and now a 3-D version. I totally love the song, "See You Again" but I think, if I'm correct she is trying to grow up?

As if the Vanity Fair photo flap wasn't enough, can she overcome that and expand to making a studio album without Hannah Montana. I'm still waiting but perhaps.

She has the chops to sing, with the support of that other Cyrus Billy Ray. As for this album. Good to hear that she has the voice and the album will excite girls. I like Cyrus, but I will wait to see what lies ahead of her after Montana.

Beck is filled with 'Modern Guilt'

Alanis explores the 'Entanglement' of love

With any artist isn't always love the inspiration for writing songs and making an album of out it? Alanis Morissette album Flavors of Entanglement (Warner Bros. Records), the first album in four years she does it in a way that is common.

Does it bother you that Morrissette continues to be angry when releasing an album? The album features songs about her own personal relationships. I have seen numerous performances on YouTube and wow. Fucking amazing. And like I have been told she performs the 80s hits. Keep it up Melissa Totten! I want you to come to Los Angeles...where? Hmmm. House of Blues? Or The Roxy? But any small venue.

I know that she performed in Palm Springs, last year on April 27. How did I know? That happened to be the day of my birthday. I missed it, but saw the clip of her singing a line for Madonna's Ray of Light album and its single, "Sky Fits Heaven."

In addition, let her know that AM I a big fan of hers, and Madonna herself will be impressed. Melissa? Melissa Totten!! You're cool.

Coldplay lives 'La Vida' on album

British band Coldplay is likeable from the time they started and yet, its upcoming album Viva La Vida (Captiol Records), and the lead single "Violet Hill" is a great track, with lead singer Chris Martin's distinctive voice on the track there is a smash No. 1 hit on its hand.

But if any fan knows Coldplay, there is no shortage of political messages on the album. That is something that Coldplay and its band members always wanted its fans to know that Making Trade Free within any country is important. The 10-tracklisting is as follows with the import edition containing two bonus tracks:

With the followup to X&Y its fourth release is where Viva la Vida takes its name from a painting by Frida Kahlo, the acclaimed 20th century Mexican artist; the title's literal translation is "Live the Life" or "Live Long Life".

The project is largely produced by Brian Eno. Coldplay have released two singles from the record, "Violet Hill" and "Viva la Vida". The album's artwork features the painting Liberty Leading the People (La Liberté guidant le peuple) by French painter Eugène Delacroix, commemorating the July Revolution of 1830.

Part of the lyrics to "Viva La Vida" are engaging:

Absolutely amazing from the beginning, Coldplay's sound is there and after having to hear it more than once there is this that fans have to look forward to: that they will continue to make music that is meaningful, and have the message for looking toward change, understanding, tolerance, and peace. If that wasn't evidence in the previous three recordings then you haven't been paying attention. Wake up and paying attention; that is what this album will do.

Coldplay looks over the 'Violet Hill'

British band Coldplay has returned with its latest single, "Violent Hill" from its upcoming album Viva La Vida album (Captiol Records) to be released on June 17. Having been compared to Irish rockers U2, it is a comparsion that will continue. With lead singer Chris Martin at the helm, there is that force of always looking for a connection with fans:

I don't want to be a soldier
With the captain of some sinking ship
With snow, far below

So if you love me
Why'd you let me go?

I took my love down to violet hill
There we sat in snow
All that time she was silent still

But there is a surprise and that is the guitar solo in the song. And lets not forget there are reference to religion in the song:

When the banks became cathedrals
And the fog
Became God

Priests clutched onto bibles
And went out to fit their rifles
And the cross was held aloft

Bury me in honor
When i'm dead and hit the ground
A love back home unfolds

That should be no surprise because one of the thing Coldplay supports in Free Trade...and as for the song...love it...all the way around.

Jewel makes it 'Perfectly Clear' and goes country

Jewel has gone country. With Michelle Branch also going country, Jewel follows suit with her album Perfectly Clear (Valory Records) and with the lead single, "Stronger Woman the result is an album that is great.

Produced by John Rich (of Big and Rich fame) collabrates with Jewel and like Branch there should be no turning back. Riding on the success of her duet with Jason Michael Carroll, "No Good in Goodbye", that was featured on Carroll's debut CD, Waitin' in the Country.

In addition, she also made a promotional appearance on the T in Boston for the Verizon Yellow Pages, playing songs on a moving subway car and then doing an hour-long acoustic concert in South Station for a large crowd of adoring fans. So does going country have its benefit; on this album the answer is yes.

Oh, God!! I love this album and Madonna has done it again. After 26 years of being in the spotlight and creating music all her own Hard Candy (Warner Bros. Records) the last LP before going to Live Nation is amazing:

Here a break down:

Candy Shop: don't know what the big deal is the candy is sticky and sweet...and I know that it is trying too hard to be cool, but the drums on it...makes it cool. There only one stop, for her candy shop. Her suguar IS raw.

4 Minutes: IF you have seen the video and know the song, that's all you need to know. Justin Timberlake's Michael Jackson-esque vocal of "4 Minutes to Save the World."

Give It 2 Me: It's a dance hall song, and if your head is not bobbing up and down then, there is something wrong with you. "Got no boundaries no limit..." If you can handle it...

Heartbeat: Feel the pulse? I love the fact that she is able to sound very floor friendly, "It's just usual..."I'll keep it going all night long."

Miles Away: To song dedicated to her Guy and the fact that she can stand being away from him. She's done it before. "So far away..."

She's Not Me: Okay, a JT influence but so what...

Incredible: It's incredible...Nough Said

Beat Goes On (featuring Kanye West): Mr. West? I know.

Dance 2Night: Love it...JT...hit that dancefloor.

Spanish Lesson: Speaking Spanish through the lyrics. She should do more music in Spanish but knowing her, she doesn't want to do with others do...anti-establishment.

Devil Wouldn't Recognize You: I wish performed this during the 2004 Reinvention Tour should, would've, could've...makes me wanna cry...Cry Me a River Part 2.

Voices: Lovely way to close the album...and her voice and bells at the end.

Enigma's 'Ill Nino' delivers

It is hard to describe the music that comes out of Enigma but with its latest album Ill Niño (Cement Shoes Records) this album delivers. Isn't every time that you listen to Enigma releases an album you want more.

After facing delays of more than a year this album translates into what the fans love about Enigma. That is able to connect without the necessary work of trying to hard.

The onslaught of bruality throughout the album is the draw. Enigma is not afraid of having the in-your-f--king-face attitude throughout the 13-track album...

Case and point: Songs such as "March Against Me" that has a mix of spanish in between: Smart!

Though you try to fight against me
I'm bored and I'm high
With porcelain eyes
You can make me feel so weak
And what is the cost

Madonna's "Ray of Light" album was released 10 years ago yesterday. For me, this album represents a turn of reflection and understanding for me personally.

When I first heard about this album I was anticipated an album that was more of oneself then before. I was impress with the outcome of this album.

I heard this album a million times and I memorized the lyrics...and I feel in love with why I love Madonna even more.

Madonna showed a side of herself that was great. Why is this album important? For the simple fact that the mask came off with this album.

Goldfrapp 'Seventh Tree' and Jackson's 'Discipline'

Allison Goldfrapp is strong in any sense. Love the idea of trying to get the fans by way of having moveed away from the pop and electronic-dance music featured on Supernature, and features ambient and downtempo music.

Goldfrapp were inspired by an acoustic radio session they had performed on and then incorporated the acoustic guitars into their music to create "warm" and "delicate" sounds.

I admit I am not that big a fan of Janet Jackson but I must admit that there is a descent job on her latest album Discipline (Island Records) because at least there is a opportunity to get out of the shadow of big brother Michael.

Ms. Jackson wants to 'Rock with You'

Janet Jackson has returned with new material. However, I do think that she has been able to release more than Michael Jackson. Little sis Jackson's single, "Rock with You" from the upcoming Discipline (Island Def Jam Records) is a return to the music that made Ms. Jackson famous.

However, I do think that the lyrics need work...I do. Why? Well, if you listen to the lyrics she is stuck on the same thing, dealing with love and wanting someone and such. Couldn't she have been creative. Couldn't she have at least thought of more than just this:

My God, has it really been 25 years since this exploded and ripped off the shelves? That can only tell you how old I am. But I have to say, that there is not one track that is the best because all of them are great.

With the "Thriller" video being named by TV Guide more than three years back as the No. 1 video of all time (Jackson transformation, moonwalk and all) this album will certainly send you back in 1983.

A late review but anyway:

It has been four years Chingy released his popular first single "Right Thurr".While signed to Capitol/Disturbing tha Peace Records (the powerhouse team behind Ludacris), Chingy released the three time platinum selling Jackpot in 2003, which propelled laid-back rapper into a household name, teen dream sex symbol and fly-boy lyricist.

Chingy broke away from the crew at DTP in 2004 and released Powerballin' in the same year, dropping the singles "Bella Baby" and "Don't Worry." Putting out his third album Hoodstar in 2006 under his own label, Slot-A lot Records and Capitol, the album had two popular singles--"Pullin' Me Back" and "Dem Jeans." In April 2007 Chingy signed back with DTP, and left Capitol Records for Island Def Jam. Hate It Or Love It Chingy is back!

Geffen Records superstar and hit-making songwriter Mary J. Blige, is set to follow-up the most successful album of her career, the triple platinum The Breakthrough, with her eighth studio CD Growing Pains.

Growing Pains includes the single "Just Fine" which has become an instant favorite on radio and on MTV, BET and VH-1. The second single from Growing Pains, "Work That," is currently featured in an Apple I-Pod commercial.

My sister blasts her ears with this:

Stephen Sondheim's Grand-Guignol blend of opera and musical theater in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is a perfect match for director Tim Burton's gothic sensibility. The result of their encounter is a superb screen musical that, despite early fears from the show's fans, preserves most of the score ("The Ballad of Sweeney Todd" being the most egregious loss) and, perhaps even more importantly, its spirit (regular Sondheim orchestrator Jonathan Tunick did the new arrangements).

And yes, Johnny Depp can sing. Granted, singing in a movie is easier than it is onstage, but still, Depp is at ease with the material, if a little thin-voiced. Helena Bonham Carter is a bit more problematic as Mrs. Lovett (there's a reason this character has been played by the likes of Angela Lansbury and Patti LuPone on stage) and her take on "The Worst Pies in London" tries hard but lacks gleeful gusto (she fares better on "By the Sea").

More convincing are Sacha Baron Cohen, appropriately outlandish as Pirelli ("The Contest"), Jayne Wisener as Johanna ("Green Finch and Linnet Bird"), and Alan Rickman as Judge Turpin (a good duet with Depp on "Pretty Women"). Sondheim fans won't be disappointed, and the film should also bring new converts into his world.

The first time I heard her sing was on the big screen version of the Broadway hit, "Rent" however, there is more to Idina Menzel then just her talent of acting. That would be her singing. Yes, ladies and gentleman, this woman can sing.

It is evident on her latest release I Stand (Warner Bros. Records) Menzel displays quality that is sought even in those who are currently auditioning on FOX's No. 1 show "American Idol." That is a show of being able to hold their own and display the ability to sing with their voice.

Spice Girls spill its Greatest Hits

With its tour selling out and its CD being sold at Victoria Secret and Amoeba Music stores, now fans will have the opportunity to have it around the world with the Spice Girls Greatest Hits (Virgin Records U.S.) available tomorrow.

Has all the hits, "Spice Up Your Life," "Mama", "Say You'll Be There," and new material, "Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)." Success came to the five of them before Ginger Spice (Geri Halliwell) left and the band disband in 2000.

During a recent interview backstage of one of its arena gigs in December 2007, Melanie C said "the music industry had changed" since their inital success, and, following the relative disappointment of "Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)", the possibility of a new album was very small.

However, it has been recently reported that EMI had offered the girls a one-album £8million deal to release a new album. Material would need to be written and recorded. Although this story is yet to be officially confirmed, EMI replied saying "We never discuss future or current contracts".

It is also rumoured that the girls will make plans to release a Live album, with the recordings made in the arena tipped for use. The song "Woman" was preformed in the Christmas In Spiceworld tour in 1999, and was never used on the "Forever" album, due to its pop vibe not fitting in with the R'n'B sound of the album, however, rumours it would be released as a single came to light in August 2007 in Star Magazine, and Showbiz editior of the News Of The World, Rav, also reviewed it as a single shortly after, once "Headlines" was confirmed as the single, rumours persisted that a new version with all five members would be released as a b-side to the single.

As for the album...the originals never fail.

Blake Lewis is living in a 'Day Dream' of wanting to be hip

I am listening to Season 6 "American Idol" runner-up Blake Lewis' debut CD Audio Day Dream (Arista/J Records) and the first song, "Break Anotha" had me worried because he sounds desperate and a wannabe white rapper.

But now I am listening to "Gots To Get Her" sounds descent but as I listen to Lewis, there is reason to worry because there is definitely ways in which he is trying to make his voice fit to music that doesn't suit him.

Duran Duran's material keeps 'Falling Down'

Duran Duran new single, "Falling Down" from its album Red Carpet Massacre (Epic Records) is produced by Justin Timberlake with Timberlake also adding backing vocals. It was recorded in two sessions in Blueprint Studios, Manchester and Sarm Studios in London.

For the music video for "Falling Down" centres around models in rehab. the lead model or celebrity looks remarkably like Britney Spears, hence the song was written by Britney's ex, Timberlake, who has used his internationally famous ex-girlfriend for publicity on more than several occasions.

The idea to record the song came after a post-Timberlake concert drinking session between Timberlake and Simon LeBon. The lyrics, written by LeBon, are apparently about a motorcycle accident he suffered.

Bon Jovi and Rimes are not 'Strangers' in song

Cleverly written Jon Bon Jovi and LeAnn Rimes create beautifull music today with the single, "Till We Ain't Stranger Anymore," off Rimes' album Family (Curb Records) Bon Jovi's vocals are swevre in as Rimes set into a mood of letting the blend mix in. There is a sense of remorse and soulfulness within the lyrics of the song:

It might be hard to be lovers
But it's harder to be friends
Baby, pull down the covers
It's time you let me in
Maybe light a couple candles
I'll just go ahead and lock the door
If you just talk to me baby
Till we ain't strangers anymore

The underlying message of the song is there that there is someone wanting to talk about what is going on without having to talk to someone who is pretending not to know you.

Just keeping score
So let's get down to it baby

There is definite soul-searching on the part of those who are scorn by love. From the first time that the audience heard Rimes when she burst on the screen with the song "Blue" and just 14-years-old she has proven that she came make her voice mature with each passing album. Doesn't hurt to have someone else in the spotlight too.

Seal gets the dance out of his 'System'

When you think of Seal, you think Grammy-awarding winning artist whose ballads can melt the hearts of Grammy voters. And yet, there is another aspect of him that you wonder, "Why the long pause between albums?" The answers could be found on his latest release, System (Warner Bros. Records) where Seal teams up with Madonna's Confessions on a Dance Floor producer Stuart Price and makes you want to dance.

More so, this album is part 2 of the Confessions album and yet it has a different artist at the helm. With Price's electronic synthesize smarts and the combination and fill in to Seal's vocals it is a great album from start to finish.

Pearl Jam front man Eddie Vedder travels Into the Wild (J-Records) with the soundtrack to the movie of the same name. His voice fits in well with the true life story of a 24-year-old college student who travels to the Alaska wilderness and give his life savings to charity. With his connecting voice of a man who is trying to figure out what is the meaning of life, Chris McCandless and Vedder connect with the use of the music.

Prompted by the film's creator, Sean Penn, to contribute to the musical score, the Seattle musician tackled the entire project, playing every instrument on the soundtrack's nine original and two cover songs.

Vedder contemplates the traveler "setting forth in the universe" in the opener "Setting Forth," then tracks in the remaining songs the realizations and disillusionments that follow.

The darkly sung folk song bookends the reticent declaration "Guaranteed," wonderfully delivered and quietly strummed, in which the prodigal Vedder wraps the journey in one line: "Leave it to me as I find a way to be/Consider me a satellite forever orbiting."

The Killers use two albums in 'Sawdust'

Las Vegas' own sons The Killers have returned with its new album SawDust (Island Records) and from the sound of it they have worked hard to prove that there is more to offer then its last album Sam's Town.

Fans will now have the opportunity to listen to B-side songs that were not part of the last album. Among them are: "Tranquilize" featuring Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Lou, and "Sam's Town (the Abbey Road) version and of course "All the Pretty Faces."

From its two lead single, "Tranquilize" and "Shadowplay" front man Brandon Flowers has the quality of that other soft-spoken yet recognizable voice from Coldplay's Chris Martin.

Are you sure that the two of them aren't long lost brothers. Well, both exhibit soft-voiced vocals with every breath and word that is taken in, there is a fair way to know the difference between the two. It is the vocals, period. Martin walks away with trying to force the strength of his voice and Flowers doesn't. Yet,

One of the key tracks to listen to is Jacques Lu Cont's (Staurt Price) remix of "Mr. Brightside" because of the way that he is able to tell a story with the use of synthesizers. Price, aka Lu Cont has always been able to do that with the works of Madonna's "Hung Up" and "Sorry" but more than anything he stays true to the use of the lyrics and didn't use alternative ways to get the song across.

The point of his music is to make you dance and hell, Oakenfold does it every time he put on the headphones. Mixed with trance, underground and pure dance the album from the beginning to end will have you asking for more. True, that you, as a fan can have the music with the numerous of other releases that he has put out with you but this time around, you get a two-disc set featuring his more popular remixed hits.

However it is the song, with Murphy that is enticing because of her ability to shine with her vocals, Oakenfold definitely turns you on...in what way? He turns you onto the dancefloor. Dance I said! Dance!

Dave Gahan set to his 'Kingdom'

Depeche Mode front man Dave Gahan is going to release his second album titled Hourglass (Virgin Records) and one can't believe that this man is a GOD! His vocals on this song, different and yet, he knows that within there has to be an appeal. There is, within the relms of songwriting, and vocals. Gahan has created much of his music based on life experience and this is no different. As to why it would appeal to audiences, for the simple fact that there are things that can arise from it such as turning it into a positive light:

If it is short, it's short. However, Gahan accomplishes the moment of fire that has stuck a core with those who have followed Depeche Mode and to have your voice heard is different because you are not afraid and not shy about what you feel.The album will be accompanied working by Andrew Philpott and Christian Eigner and according to Dave, they will be producing it together. The material was recorded at Gahan's 11th Floor Studios in New York City, Gahan's hometown for 10 years now. The material will be mixed in July by Tony Hoffer, best known for his work with Beck, The Kooks and Air. According to Gahan, "Hourglass" will be more electronic-sounding than "Paper Monsters".

I remember listening to Corina Katt Ayala for the first time in 1991. Her music was so different as compared to today's music. Yet, this is from her one-woman show, "The Fear in All of Me." She has never sounded soooooooo beautiful. And if you cry, you will hear why.

Underwood takes you on a 'Carnival Ride'

American Idol's Season 4 winner Carrie Underwood takes a risk on her sophomore album Carnival Ride (Arista Records) and not only that but she is getting to the point of singing about what matters to her. With the constant rumors of Underwood having a new man (is it true?) but more than anything the light shines on the spotlight of Underwood ability to care through to the beginning and end.

With the lead single, "So Small" there is a heartache:

The Killers 'Shadowplay' in song

The Killers have return with its latest single, "Shadowplay" from its upcoming album Sawdust (Island Records). Frontman Brandon Flowers is again the man who is good enough with the vocals. Yet, what is appealing is the instrumentation of the music. With its tantializing drums and bass guitar. But more than anything, Sawdust includes "All The Pretty Faces" (which was the b-side of "When You Were Young"); two movie soundtrack tunes, "Shadowplay" (a Joy Division cover from Control, Anton Corbijn's biopic of Ian Curtis) and "Move Away" (from Spiderman 3).

There is as well as a cover of Kenny Rogers & The First Edition's "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love To Town" (written by Mel Tillis). The collection will also contain songs which weren't completed for Hot Fuss and Sam's Town. The Killers recently went back into the studio to finish the tracks, including "Tranquilize" featuring Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Lou Reed.
